Manjaros Review

Recently we thought we would check out Boro hotspot Manjaros on Linthorpe road and see what all the fuss is about.

We ordered a hot and spicy Waka Waka chicken which was priced at £9.95 and Mixed Charco Skewers which were priced at £8.95

We we will start with the Waka Waka, this came out presented really well and is is a boneless dish of flattened chicken marinated with spices and coated his manjaros own spicy sauce served with steak cut chips and salad. This was absolutely delicious, so full of different flavours and spices. The chicken tasted very fresh and flavoursome, gave the chips a dash of peri peri salt and a touch of garlic to really set off the taste buds again. Along with the crisp fresh salad this whole meal was worth every penny.

We then had the Mixed Charco Skewers which were chunks of chicken and lamb marinated in an array of spices, chargrilled with peppers and onions coated in Manjaros sauce served with pitta bread, and we opted for sweet potato fritters and salad. These chunks of meat were cooked perfectly giving that unforgettable charred taste followed by spices and the perfectly cooked meat flavours. This served along side sweet potato was amazing with the distinct taste of the fritters, another outstanding dish.

Overall we were more than happy with our meals at Manjaros and cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu, so we feel we can’t give these anything less than top marks, a highly recommend 5 stars.
