Yarm Town Council by-election – In His own words – Bob Wegg

UPDATE: Cllr Bob Wegg and his wife Cllr Barbara Wegg later resigned from Yarm Town Council.

The following quote is the one hundred word biography (or the first one hundred words) submitted to us by Bob Wegg* for the Yarm Town Council by-election.

I, Bob Wegg, am standing for election to Yarm council as an independent candidate. I’ve lived in Yarm my whole life.

Having previously served on the Council I was heavily involved in the restoration of Yarm chapel and was hands on in improving Yarm Cemetery. On Yarm allotments I have organised gardening projects with local schools and had over 500 children visit for educational tours. I volunteer at Challoner House Community Centre helping with community projects. I was involved in the Town Centre heritage project.

I am dedicated to protecting our town for future generations through hard work and commitment.

* = We have unfortunately been unable to verify whether this submitted biography has been written by and/or submitted by the candidate as this was received from an account in the name of a family member.

The other candidates standing are Ian Carter and Stephen Lynas.
