The following quote is the one-hundred-word biography (or the first one hundred words) submitted to us by Jake Taylor for the Yarm Town Council by-election on Thursday 14th August 2025.
My name is Jake Taylor, and I’ve proudly worked in Yarm for over five years. I’m passionate about bringing back true community spirit, supporting local businesses, and continuing to stand by local charities. As a Yarm Independent, my main goal is to take politics out of the equation and focus on what really matters, our people and our town. I believe in building stronger connections, working together, and making a real difference for everyone. By uniting residents, business owners, and volunteers, we can create a more vibrant, inclusive Yarm for all. Let’s put community first, always
