Yarm Town Council by-election – In Her own words – Carole Jones

The following quote is the one hundred word biography (or the first one hundred words) submitted to us by Carole Jones, the Yarm Independent Association Candidate for the Yarm Town Council by-election.

I’ve lived in Yarm for 20 years. Previously a teacher, I’m happily retired and able to devote myself to many Yarm centric activities including: Yarm Art Society; Yarm Garden Club; Yarm Ladies Cycling Group. I also volunteer my time to Stockton cycling initiatives.

My love of environmental things has led to clean ups in our town. I’ve enjoyed planting an orchard for Snaiths field and planting trees and flowers with local school children.

I care about this town and under the previous administration of the Council, I served as Ratepayers Representative.

Let’s end the petty squabbles, and seek positive change.

The other candidates standing are Brian Newcombe (Independent) and Barbara Wegg (YRA Group).
