The following quote is the one-hundred-word biography (or the first one hundred words) submitted to us by Hazel Best for the Yarm Town Council by-election on Thursday 14th August 2025.
Having only lived in Yarm since last November, I’ve quickly come to appreciate the strong sense of community that makes this town special. I work at a local college supporting students with complex needs, where I see firsthand the importance of inclusion and ensuring that every voice is heard. This passion extends beyond my job—I care deeply about creating a welcoming, accessible environment for everyone in Yarm. I believe in practical solutions, not politics, and I’m committed to serving all residents fairly, listening to concerns, and working together to strengthen our community for the future.
