The Chairman Review

Recently we went to visit The Chairman on Bedford Street in Middlesbrough. After looking over their menu we decided to try a couple of things.

We ordered the Pulled pork bun served with skinny fries, we also ordered the pulled beef bun served with chunky chips and finally we order a portion of the salt & pepper chicken.

The pulled pork bun came out well presented along with a small pot of coleslaw. The pulled pork was marinated in a slightly tangy bbq sauce and served in a lovely brioche bun alongside some delicious skin on fries, The slaw made for a fantastic addition to this dish.

The pulled beef bun also came out presented well and again with a pot of coleslaw. The pulled beef came served in a floury bun alongside some thick cut chunky chips, the beef in this was cooked to absolute perfection, just melt it the mouth texture. These dishes were priced at £7 each.

The salt and pepper chicken was on a section £4 each or 3 plates for £10. We opted for just this dish to accompany our mains, this was cooked so well and tasty so fresh we can really find any fault with this, the batter was so light and seasoned perfectly, the chicken was so soft and tasty it was a brilliant dish on its own.

Overall we were really happy with our meals and feel there wasn’t really anything to fault here so we’re happy to award The Chairman and highly recommended 4 stars.
