The following quote is the one hundred word biography (or the first one hundred words) submitted to us by Barbara Wegg, the YRA Group Candidate for the Yarm Town Council by-election.
My name is Barbara Wegg, I moved to our beautiful town 45 years ago, both my children went to school here, as do my four grandchildren. I have taken a keen interest in Yarm Council for eight years and feel that I now have the time to dedicate myself to it fully. I am deeply interested in the history of Yarm and maintaining its picturesque character, however I understand that to keep it thriving we must always be moving forward. I promise to be ‘hands on’ and work for the people of Yarm to protect our town for future generations.
The other candidates standing are Carole Jones (Yarm Independent Association) and Brian Newcombe (Independent).
